This Rare Boss 429 is unlike any other you will ever see. This motor along with its history was purchased in 1998 from the very big Boss collector out of Illinois Doug Sulko and has sat ever since. As the History goes this is a 1 of 3 “Dual Distributor, 16 Plug” Boss Full Hemi power plants that was a project for the boys from Holman Moody for Ford racing. The motor has been sitting since the early 70~z. Although it would need a going through, it is internally balanced and in great shape as you can see. The block is what looks to be a “virgin bore” windowed 460 (064) which we were told at purchase time was the replacement Boss block for Boss 429~s, although it does resemble a cobra jet block. The O-Rings on the block were shaved off to allow for normal gaskets which were less of a migraine headache. The full Hemi heads have some very interesting “must see” work done to them. Along with having 16 plugs and a dual distributor set up, they are fully ported, then again I should say fully de-ported ( see photo) to go with a de-port matched VERY RARE “SK-46368 & XH-10117 "raised lettered Holman Moody" single plain 1x4 intake. Although the valve covers are painted blue, they are the “original titanium covers”. This motor is set up to run a dry sump that was sold a while back. “ I do have a regular oil pan to use for shipping”. This rare motor is “ALL 4 BOLT MAIN BOSS" along with the Boss 429 Steel crank, Boss Polished Rods, Boss Pistons, Boss Heads, and biggie valves (etc). (Note) “A few” of the lifters have found new homes over the years, but all 16 push rods, and "NEW spark plug boots and insulators" are there. To let you know now, I do not have the slightest clue what the engine specs are.
